This is what you get offered while creating a new Twitter account. There is no way to check profiles of those "recommended" users and the mix itself is in fact little strange (if nothing else, it's completely US centric).

I'm not going into the battle, who is better at using Twitter, because there is definitely no contest in that (and nobody is the judge either), but I cannot ignore this statistics:

So similar, in many conversations/mentions/replies stuff, that Robert should probably change the headline of his own article ;-).

Retweets in action

As usual, I get this features on testing account, not mine main one.

You can turn on/off seeing retweets for any user you follow.

New button and confirmation dialog.

Retweeted tweet (http://twitter.com/madciapka/status/5570081490)- as you can see, it can be "undone".

The same tweet seen publicly - no sign of retweet.

This is how it's shown in the timeline of the user, who retweeted the post and while logged in with "retweet enabled" account.
